Mankind provides support for men* (18+) in Sussex who have been affected by unwanted sexual experiences at any time in their lives.
We do not provide services for men where:
- they are unable to attend our counselling rooms in Hove;
- the main issue is domestic abuse or domestic violence;
- they have committed a sexual offence or are on the Sexual Offences Register
We require clients to refer themselves to us personally – we do not accept third-party referrals. If you are attempting to refer someone else to us, please email us first, including their consent for you to contact us and explaining clearly why they are not able to fill in the form themselves.
If you have experienced domestic violence, these services may be of use to you:

Individual Counselling for partners, family and friends
We recognise that learning that a man close to you has been sexually abused can be difficult. You may want to help but not know what is the best thing to do for him. It may also bring up some uncomfortable thoughts that you are not sure about. Talking these over with a counsellor can help sort out your feelings and how you can best offer your support. Even if the man that told you does not want to get help, you can.
Please note that we do not offer couple or family counselling. This service consists of up to 18 weeks of individual counselling.
